This opportunity is only for volunteers 16+

Please report to the ISB Cafe (Barakah Bistro) on the 2nd floor and let cafe staff or one of the Ramadan Coordinators know you are here to help pack dates 

Volunteers will:

Wear gloves and pack 2 dates into each plastic containerRemove dates from the stalk for packing Keep track of how many plastic containers have been packed

Volunteers will:

Pack Iftar meals into individual containers Assist cafe with storing the Iftars in the warmers and keeping count of how many meals have been made

Ideally 2 greeters should be present at each entrance. The main lobby on the 1st floor and the side entrance on the 2nd floor near AQA wing. 

Volunteers will:

Smile and say Salam to folks as they come inLet community members know to go to their respective musallahs and that Iftar will be in the gym after Maghrib

Men's musallah is on the 2nd floorGym is on the 2nd floorAQA Family Space is on 2nd floorWomen's musallah is on the 3rd floor

There are 2 water/date distribution stations. One in the main lobby on the 1st floor and another by the side entrance on 2nd floor near the AQA wing.

Volunteers will:

Smile and hand a water bottle and date container to community members as they come inIf possible send 1 person from their station to do a "sweep" of the men's and women's musallah with a few date containers, to ensure all community members have received one Leave their station to go to the musallah 5-10min before Maghrib Remember to grab a bottle and date container for themself :) 

Please Note:

Ideally, 2 volunteers will be present at each station1 person at each station should have a walkie talkie for easy communication

Iftar distribution will officially begin in the gym immediately following Maghrib salah regardless of the shift time

Brothers will have Iftar on the right half of the gym (the side closest to the windows)

Volunteers will:

Distribute Iftar in the gym after Maghrib salah (no Iftar will be handed out before then)Help set up Iftar tables if not prayingGive only one Iftar per person Kindly explain that we must serve the people present first if someone requests to take an Iftar for someone else Let community members know if the Iftar is for an elderly individual, our team will gladly bring the Iftar directly to them and give them our Salam. If this happens, please let Br. Hamza know.

Br. Hamza will be your POC for thisWe have a vegetarian option available upon request (usually cheese pizza). This is not widely advertised or for children. It is strictly for community members with special dietary needs.

Help maintain smooth foot traffic flow entering and exiting the prayer area Pass out shoe bags to community members as they arrive Encourage attendees to continue moving forward and filling available space Use walkie talkies to communicate with the operations team if an area becomes full or congested Assist community members with locating entrances, exits, prayer spaces, and general event flow Help create a welcoming and organized Eid experience for attendeesSolicit Donation collection after Eid Prayer

Please Note:

Volunteers should be comfortable politely asserting themselves with kindness when directing crowds One volunteer per area should have a walkie talkie for easy communication This role may require standing for extended periods of time Your presence and attentiveness will play an important role in ensuring a safe and smooth Eid prayer experience for everyone

Please report to Security Square Mall and check in with one of the Eid Coordinators upon arrival.

Volunteers will:

Assist with setting up the Eid prayer area Help arrange tarps, chairs, signage, and barricades as needed Support coordinators with general setup tasks to ensure the event is ready before Eid day

Please Note:

Comfortable clothing and closed-toe shoes are recommended Some light lifting and walking may be required Volunteers should be prepared to work outdoors This role is extremely important in helping Eid day run smoothly and reducing morning setup pressure Your POCs will be Br. Hamza and the Eid Operations team

Volunteers will:

Assist with full event breakdown after Eid celebrations conclude
Dismantle prayer area setup including tarps, barriers, and signage
Break down tables, chairs, and general setup across the venue
Help pack and organize equipment, supplies, and leftover materials
Support cleanup of carnival, vendor, and activity areas
Dispose of trash and ensure the space is returned to its original condition
Assist coordinators with final walkthrough and any remaining tasks

Please Note:

This is the final and essential cleanup phase of the entire Eid event
Some lifting, carrying, and physical activity will be required
Volunteers should be prepared to work efficiently as a team to clear the space quickly

Volunteers will:

Assist families and children with navigating activity areas
Monitor lines and help maintain an organized flow throughout the celebration space
Float between different areas to assist with troubleshooting and general event needs
Support vendors, coordinators, and activity stations as needed
Help answer questions and direct community members around the event

Please Note:

Volunteers should be comfortable being proactive and jumping in where help is needed
Some walking and standing throughout the event will be required
Volunteers may be reassigned throughout the shift depending on event needs
This role is essential in helping the Eid celebration feel welcoming, organized, and enjoyable for all attendees

Be stationed along the 5K race routeDirect runners and help ensure participants stay on the correct courseAssist with maintaining a safe and organized race environmentCommunicate with race coordinators if any issues arise along the route

Please Note:

Volunteers should arrive on time and be prepared to remain stationed outdoors for the duration of their shiftComfortable shoes and weather appropriate clothing are strongly recommendedVolunteers should be alert, attentive, and comfortable giving clear directions to runners

Assist with general event setup and preparationHelp place signage, cones, and other event materialsSupport the team with organizing race day supplies and equipmentHelp ensure the event space is clean, organized, and ready for the 5K

Volunteers should be comfortable lifting and moving light to moderate itemsComfortable clothing and shoes are strongly recommendedAdditional instructions and assignments will be provided on site by race coordinators
